    The Idaho Centennial Carousel, dubbed the “jewel of Porter Park,” is the only vintage wooden carousel in the state. It was constructed in 1926 by the Spillman Engineering Company of New York and transported to Rexburg in 1952.

    It was reconstructed in time for Idaho’s 100th birthday in 1990 after being destroyed in the Teton Dam floods. At Porter Park, the carousel is one of the most popular attractions.

    It continues to function utilizing the original vintage music scrolls manufactured by the Stinson Band Organ Company in Ohio.

    22. Book Viking.

    A bookstore in Rexburg that focuses on textbooks, rocks and minerals, and vibrant butterflies is situated in the same plaza as Domino’s and the Red Rabbit Grill.

    Owner of Book Viking, Brian Ward, launched his company while still a student at Brigham Young University-Idaho. Ward claimed that as a junior in college, he used the university’s on-campus bookstore to buy his textbooks but discovered that the costs were greater than what he could obtain online.

    Stone statues and figurines are displayed on shelves that line the Book Viking’s windows. Even a stone clock is available for purchase. The store’s ceiling is covered in vibrant butterflies that are also for sale.

    Ward claimed that he makes an annual trip to Arizona for a convention where artisans and merchants offer gems, rocks, and minerals for sale. Every year, he returns to his store with a truckload of pebbles and butterflies. He claimed it was a pastime and he enjoyed bringing customers.

    There is more to Book Viking than just rocks and butterflies. The bookstore has a cat of its own. A grey cat with a lot of personality and talent goes by the name of Thor. Every year, Rexburg parades include Thor, who can ride a bike and likes to flip through the air with Ward.

    23. Rexburg Rapids.

    The family-friendly summertime destination is Rexburg Rapids! For all families in southeast Idaho and the neighboring areas, the park is the best attraction. This park has the following features:

    • Rock Wall – Climbing the rock wall that extends out of the pool is a great challenge for both expert and new climbers. They can dive off into the hot water, but they risk slipping if they do.

    • Water Slides – There are two slides that begin three storeys in the air! An enclosed slide with twists and turns that sweeps riders down to safety and a speed slide for thrill-seekers. At the bottom of each slide is a catching pool.

    What could be more enjoyable on a sweltering summer day than lounging on a tube and floating down the lazy river? Riders may enjoy hours of sliding fun with little walking thanks to the 388-foot-long river that goes past the catching pool and back to the slides.

    • Lap Pool – There is a 3-lane lap pool in the swimming pool. Participants in the swim club and swimming lessons, as well as anyone else interested in practising their swimming, may use this pool. All abilities of swimmers can benefit from the low-impact workout of lap swimming.

    • Lifeguards who have received professional training and certification from the Red Cross will be on duty constantly to protect swimmers.

    24. BYU Idaho ropes course.

    There are three stages in the ropes course, each of which is harder than the one before it. The top level is the hardest, while the bottom level faced mild difficulties.

    A continuous belay system holds participants to the course so they can explore it. Fantastic challenge for both individuals and groups. (Only 60 participants are allowed for each two-hour period.)

    One participant sits in a harness as the other participants lift him or her up to 50 feet in the air. Participants can let go and drop down to the ground. An excellent opportunity for boosting confidence and teamwork. (20 per two-hour period is the limit.)

    30.  Nature Park

    Its location away from traffic, in a calmer setting, and adjacent to the South Fork of the Teton River makes Nature Park special. For runners and walkers, the park’s path has been laid out and designated. It has a good connection to Eagle Park Campground as well.

    The lovely golf course next to Nature Park is very close to the fairgrounds. This region frequently has wildlife and ducks to be viewed, and the park contains a skate park and a 9-hole disc golf course.

    The northern I-15 corridor is served by this shuttle company, which is based in Idaho. The bus line now provides service from as far north as Helena, Montana, down to Idaho Falls and Boise in Idaho, and Salt Lake City, Utah. It has also recently extended south to Las Vegas, Nevada.

    Since 2001, the city’s population, which is overwhelmingly white and almost entirely Mormon, has grown by approximately 50%. The rise of  Church-owned institutions, such Brigham Young University-Idaho, Rexburg’s largest employment, has been substantially to blame.

    Madison County, where Rexburg is situated, was recognised as Idaho’s healthiest county from 2013 to 2015 as a result of the LDS Church’s health-promoting programmes and the town’s youthful population.

    Rexburg, however, is not exempt from social, economic, and health problems.
