1. Quiet Time At The Lake Belton
The lake is generously surrounded by parks you can just troop into to relax and just enjoy nature.
Its calm waves flowing down to the banks are the most talked about. It takes you away from the city noise and just in your own space. You can visit here if you just want to think straight.
Other outdoor activities are tempting like painting, riding trails, climbing walls, and swimming.
The area where these activities are carried out is called Sierra Beach. That’s right! You were right.
It’s a beach where you can have that bikini experience to tan.
You can still come with your fishing nets or go boating.
The parks that are all around the Lake have a collective name ‘Belton Lake Outdoor Recreational Area (B.L.O.R.A).

Whatever suits you best for you, this is a spot you will be glad you were.
They also have event halls that can accommodate 150 people. You can use it for meetings, birthdays, and other special occasions.

5. Whistle Stop Playground
This is one cool place the kids will love.
You don’t need to be all over the kids here worried about how safe they are.
The facilities and the surroundings at large are highly secured. We hear testimonies too from parents who come here often with their kids.
You can nicely relax and just watch them play. Or even go grab a snack to enjoy the fast food available there.
There is a parking lot so you don’t worry about parking the car far away from the Park.
The secured Whistle Stop Playground has carrying activities from swinging to climbing and balancing.

6. The Hindu Temple of Central Texas
The Hindu Temple is found just in the heart of Temple, Texas.
It is a nonprofit making association.
The temple has a dining hall which is used to host programs when need is, an educational center, and an art performance theater. It also has Hindu deities there too.
The Hindu temple was founded in 2001 and since then, has been responsible for hundreds of philanthropic acts. Like hosting activities that benefit society.
They give free food to the less privileged and many other projects going on for sure that the public can not trace back to them.
Yoga and Bhagavad classes hosted mainly on Thursdays have sessions for kids and adults too.
The architecture is one to behold; a blend of North Indian and South Indian architecture.
You will always see two priests available to take the worship sections.
The children’s sections and the adult teaching classes are hosted differently. There is an offering of kitchen soup every month.
7. The Historic Wilson House
The Ralph Wilson Snr structure, The Historic Wilson House is a ranch-styled building that used to be his family’s private home since it was built in 1959.
It was not until 1972 that it was later used as a specimen home for laminate usage.
Ralph used his home as a test lab where he tested his products. The building is rich in art intelligence. You can see Ralph Wilson outdid himself with this building. The building gives you a picture of what houses looked like in the 1950s.
Most things in the house were made from Laminated plastics that give its a touch that earns recognition from the Wilsonart magazine company.
After Ralph died, the house was sold by his wife in 1991.
The house is still properly maintained and appears the same to date.
Tours are available on weekdays now. But you have to book on time and go when it’s appointed to you.
This Ralph’s beautiful masterpiece, 1988 was registered in the U.S National Register of Historic Places and became a landmark in the Historical Commission of Texas.

9. Czech Heritage Museum
The Czech Heritage Museum is one amazing spot to learn all about the culture and history of the Czech people.
They deal with the genealogy of the Czech people.
People even are lucky enough to be able to trace back their origin when they come here.
Here you get a better insight into the Czech Republic which used to be known as the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
It’s a good place to get educated. Also passes as a good place to take the kids to learn more about people’s cultural heritage.
It is open to those who are interested in showing military tools the traditional marionettes. So many collections, enough to feed your eyes throughout your visit.
I love how open they are about educating and enlightening youths and everyone about what the museum entails.
It is said that this museum genealogy happens to be the largest in the whole state.
There are so many valuables here but one striking one is a Bible that has been perfectly preserved since 1549.

They also tell the stories of how the Czech people migrated to Texas.
I doubt you can get clearer pictures of the Czech people elsewhere.
Again, you get to learn about how they survived during the cold war in the 1800s.
With all these valuables in it. It was just founded in 2000 and has been proving to be capable by striving.
Did I mention it is a nonprofit making organization? Yes, it happens to be. Amazing right?

There are so many water parks in this city. Which you will see once you get to Temple.
So pack that bag pack and book a flight down here with the kids.
The water parks are saviors when it comes to dealing with the heat in Temple, Texas.
Amongst all, the Lions Junction Family Water Park is one nice one you will want to see.
It is the best in the region, to the majority.
Don’t worry again if you have been asking mind questions about If they have something fun for you.
The water park is safe and secured but they still made provisions for lifeguards.
Which are very important, of course. Professional lifeguards are there to prompt security and safety.
Though there is a fee to be paid. It differs for visitors, residents, etc. They even consider the aged people too.
But don’t worry I promise, since you need to pay a fee to gain access, it is pocket friendly and very affordable.
11. Temple Lake Park
This Public park is one fun place to be too.
In fact, by the end of your visit to Temple, you should have had a variety of experiences in the different parks in this city.
This park is right at the junction of The Little River and the Leon River.
There are over 60 picnic spots. This could be used at any time by the general public. So if you are a fan of sitting out with your friends on a cool evening. There is a spot for you here.
The pavilion, however, happens to be the park’s most appreciated site by people. I don’t know why. Maybe you will want to go find out.
It has to be booked. It is strictly for reserved persons.
There is a playground for kids down to a beach for those who enjoy swimming in the heat.
The playground is just down the borders of the park.
The best part here, is the facilities and features are allowed to be used by everybody.
Deers, turkeys, and other small animals are often sited at close distances.
The fun doesn’t stop there, there is something for those who enjoy fishing too. You might be lucky to go home with a fish for dinner.
There are enough species of fish. This Is one important spot in the park. Proved by the number of people you see around there waiting for their turn.

They offer one of the best boating services in the whole of Texas.
The best part is that it offers free access to the park. It operates only during the day but is open every day.
It is supervised by the US Army Corps of Engineers. They are not doing badly at all with maintenance.

It will be worth the visit in the end. There is no way you will visit here and not go back with maximum satisfaction.

The 30 acres Park is loaded to give you a thrilling time. And keep you coming back.

The trail could be used for a short jog or a walk in the morning.

15. Temp Railroad and Heritage Museum
The Museum has stood the test of time. Has been in existence since 1979. Although with a different name.
It is situated at the Santa Fe Depot. It is also considered one of the oldest institutions in the city of Temple, Texas.
After years of it sitting idle, it was reopened in the 2000s and has contributed to the growth of Temple City.
Its whole development history concerning traveling and working is displayed at the Santa Fe Railway exhibit.
They host shows and numerous events to enlighten the public.
The Temple Railroad And Heritage Museum try to always keep visitors entertained so they rotate the collections that are not permanent.

Another stand-out restaurant since 1991. It is one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in the city.
Their aim when they came into existence was to bring the best spicy Chinese-flavoured food to the temple community.
The Dynasty Chinese Restaurant was the first place where the well-known General Tso’s Chicken recipe was revealed.
They have been in great service since 1991. Their consistency and ability to stay in the competition should be applauded.

18. Friar’s Creek Trail
Adventures, you never run out of adventures in this beautiful city.
Did you know that the City Temple has over two miles of land?
The Friar’s Creek Trail has a vast space of over 2 miles of untapped land. For hikers, this is a good spot for hiking.
If you are not so much of a hiker you can just go biking on the trail and appreciate nature as you ride along.
19. Temple Symphony Orchestra
For more than 2 decades concerts have been held for people to come to watch the Temple Symphony Orchestra.
90 professional musicians come together to produce magical and melodious sounds which always makes visitors wowed.
A string quartet there can help in training your kid that is musically inclined. They groom you until you are bold and ready to show your talent.
20. Bell County Museum
This is not particularly in Temple. It is more around Belton, Texas.
But it can pass for a fun thing to do from Temple if you take a trip there to get educated about what life was like in Temple years ago.
There is a lot to see in this museum. There is a log cabin made in 1950, and other exhibitions you will love to have a close glance at.
